Hello friends. Here's my story: On Saturday, March 3rd, we were 40+5 weeks. Normally, a decision was made to admit me on Monday, March 5th, because nothing was happening. But when my water broke that day, we rushed to the hospital. I was admitted at 3 pm. I had mild contractions until 11 pm. In the meantime, I was given antibiotics and serum because the baby had no amniotic fluid left. I was also connected to the NST. At one point, they told me to eat something and come back because the baby's movements were slow. I ate at the hospital canteen and reconnected. The movements had returned to normal. Since it was the weekend, the midwives were contacting my doctor via WhatsApp and phone to report the situation. From 11 pm until 5 am on Sunday, I regularly experienced my own contractions. They were dropping to 1 every 5 minutes, but my dilation was the same as when I arrived. That is, 4 cm. I had already been walking around with this dilation for a week, so those contractions were useless :) At 5 am, I was taken to the labor room. There, I was given an artificial labor induction. It was the same strength as my own contractions, but because it came at very frequent intervals and I didn't have much strength left, I had difficulty coping with the contractions. My husband was always by my side. He was rubbing my back and waist with every attack. The midwife suggested the 4/8 breathing technique at one point. Inhaling for 4 seconds and exhaling for 8 seconds. If you focus on the breath instead of the pain, the process is overcome quickly. I tried it. We called to the midwife to check the dilation. She was waiting for the shift change. Thankfully, the other midwife arrived and after 3 hours of artificial labor, the dilation was 10 cm. When the doctor arrived, I was in a prostration position in front of the so-called birthing bed :) I couldn't get on the bed because I had no strength left :) Luckily, they lifted me up. When I felt the urge to push and the contraction started, my doctor told me to push hard. Because my baby was very high, it took time for my pushes to bring her down, even though they were strong. My daughter was born with 3-4 strong pushes. Because her hand was on her face, she made 2 cuts, in addition to the doctor's 1 cut :) They put her directly on my chest. She wasn't making a sound, but she was looking around in amazement. Her father cut the umbilical cord. He even recorded those moments on video. The pediatrician was waiting next door for the first check-ups. They immediately took the baby and brought her to life, staggering from side to side. My little darling started to cry at that moment. Her breath had returned. While my stitches were being done, we were chatting with the doctor and midwife :) I didn't even feel the pain after those contractions and the happiness at the end. They were already momentary pains. I was stitched up very well, thank God :) Afterwards, we spent 45 minutes alone with my baby in the labor room. When she was first born, they had put her on my chest between my undershirt. While I was breastfeeding her in the labor room, I felt something green on my hand. It turned out that our little one had pooped on my chest as soon as she was born :) My precious daughter came as if to say, 'I'll poop on this world' :) I started breastfeeding her at that moment. I didn't have a nipple, so they pulled it out with a syringe. She latched on and sucked. Praise be to God. We are now 1 week old. We even had our first doctor's check-up. Thank God everything is fine. My initial astonishment of 'is this really mine now?' still continues. I can't sleep at the hours when I should be sleeping because of excitement. May God grant you such sweet sleeplessness and deep happiness.
